HHH | Veterinary Neurobiology Lab

HHH

I received my bachelor’s degree in biology from the Hebrew University following which I continued my studies at the Koret School of veterinary medicine. Following 5 years of neurology residency based on the European College of Veterinary Neurology (EDVN) guidelines, I passed the European certifying examination and I became an international diplomate in veterinary neurology and neurosurgery.

Since then, I am happy to divide my time between teaching neurology and neurosurgery to veterinary students, supervising multiple new residents at the veterinary teaching hospital and research in my lab in the city of Rehovot.

My research was always driven by questions arising from unmet clinical challenges. Splitting my time between the clinic and the lab allows me to keep applying cutting-edge medical discoveries into the veterinary clinical neurology area through multiple clinical trials.

Adhering to the concept that relevant medical research originates from the clinic, I have established the veterinary neurobiology lab with the help and talent of my students. I am mainly interested in using basic research tools to investigate pathological pathways in specimens and data originating from clinical cases of naturally occurring diseases.

I believe that although challenging, discovers achieved while working on data from clinical cases are important and maybe more relevant for understanding diseases.
